Hello research community! We at FindingFive have some important updates to share regarding our subscription plans and offerings. These changes, effective 1 March 2024*, reflect our commitment to providing open, inclusive, and affordable services for the entire research community.
Please read on to learn about how these changes may affect you!
π Introducing the New βEssentialβ Plan
FindingFive has always been committed to affordable online research, but we are taking this even farther with the new “Essential” plan. For just $20 per year, you get 50 free participation records** (a $25 value) that you can use any time in the year, along with all the collaboration and data encryption benefits of a FindingFive subscription. It’s not just about affordability; it’s about supporting the future of research!
π Subscription Required for Launching Sessions
Starting 1 March 2024*, a subscription will be required to launch a session of your study. You can still build and preview your studies using all grammar features for free, but if you want to run participants a subscription will be required. Users without a subscription can continue to launch sessions through 29 February 2024*. This will help ensure the longevity and sustainability of our platform. We remain committed to keeping the foundational aspects of research accessible to all, and thank you for your understanding.
ποΈ Introducing Annual Free Participation Records
You asked, and we listened! We’re revising when the free participation records** associated with your subscription plan expire, tying them to your planβs billing cycle. This means that if you sign up for an annual subscription plan, you will receive a lump sum of free participation records that last for a full year***, offering greater flexibility and more control over your research timelines.
πΈ A Single Session Fee for All Plans
In the spirit of transparency and simplicity, we’re standardizing the session fees that we charge to $0.50 per participation record** for all plans. As always, session fees are waived for a certain number of participation records for all subscription plans. This adjustment is about making things clearer and more predictable for you, so you can focus on what truly matters β your research.
* Effective Time of Changes
Changes will take effect at the start of 1 March 2024 (midnight) ET for the US server, and GMT for the EU server.
** Participation Records & Session Fees
Participation records reflect a single completed participation in a study session. We charge $0.50 per participation record in a session, called the session fee. Each subscription plan comes with a number of free participation records that expire at the end of the billing cycle. This does not include moneys offered to participants by you as compensation or any payment processing fees (for paying participants directly through FindingFive).
*** Annual Free Participation Records
Free participation records are valid for the duration of one cycle of a subscription. Annual subscribers receive 10x the free participant records of monthly subscribers, available for one full calendar year from the beginning of their billing cycle. Researchers with an active annual subscription will receive the full annual sum of free participation records beginning 1 March 2024, but expiring at the end of the current billing cycle. This ignores any free participation records already used this year. For example, if you have an active annual subscription that began on 1 July 2023, you will receive a full year’s allotment of free participation records on 1 March 2024 that expire on 1 July 2024, regardless of how many records you have already used.
